La Cumbre, Bolivia. 15,680 feet above sea level. You, in full protective gear, are standing next to your bicycle and listening to instructions on how to avoid any unnecessary accidents. Taking a deep breath, you climb onto your bike, and get ready to take the ride you will not forget down the “World’s Most Dangerous Road.”

The ride takes you through breathtaking views on the mountains of Bolivia, precisely 64 kilometers of it. Riders experience different terrains: asphalt, 3 meter wide dirt roads with two-way traffic, and water as they cross two rivers. The real danger comes up with trying to steer away from the 600+ meter vertical exposure off the left side of the road.

A few companies have started offering the tour to anyone that can handle it. If I am ever in Bolivia, it would definitely be something to look into, as the views and vertical drops look great!
